Dr.
Ali Safayan is board certified in Internal Medicine.
He is the Preceptor in charge of the UCLA Medical Acupuncture
Course for Physicians, overseeing the training of several
hundred physicians each year in medical acupuncture.
A founder of one of the first integrative medicine practices
in the Washington Metropolitan area, Dr. Safayan incorporates
the best of conventional medicine with complementary
holistic therapies such as medical acupuncture, allergy
elimination technique, bioidentical hormone replacement
therapy, and prolotherapy; an injection therapy for
treating chronic pain. |
Dr.
Safayan is an advocate for maintaining health and wellness
through patient education and involvement. Dr. Safayan currently
serves as the Vice President of Medical Affairs of Global
Watch, a non-profit organization dedicated to the resolution
of health and human rights issues for women and children in
Afghanistan. Global Watch is active in providing medical supplies
and equipment to hospitals in Afghanistan. Dr. Safayan is
a frequent lecturer and he has also made several guest appearances
on PBS television. Dr. Safayan has been in private practice
in the Washington DC Metropolitan area for 17 years.
